Reel Talk: That Hyderabadi Heroine Is Not Lesbian
Mona Chopra is the hottest beauty from Hyderabad and she is scintillating on Bollywood screen by passing on hot waves. Although she acted in the Telugu film 'A Film by Aravind' she has got less scope in that to let out her beautiful assets. But ever since the film ' Time Pass', she has been reveling on screen.
Freshly she is acting in the film 'Game' with skimpiest short bikinis.
A few weeks earlier, a Mumbai journalist stated that she is a lesbian. Reacting to the same, he sued the journalist for hurting her personal feelings. She states that she is not the one with lesbian inclinations.
In fact, a heroine is prone for all nasty gossips and it is common for the ones who project themselves as hot dolls. Mona Chopra is from Hyderabad and knows little Telugu and more Hindi.
Gossip: Rambha Wants Younger Hubby!
Rambha, who enthralled one generation of Telugu People by exposing her rounded thighs, is yet to find a suitable boy for wedlock. She is at least fifteen years older than any heroine of today. But she is under the illusion she can be outwit any teenaged heroine now. She is not at all willing to accept her age. To prove she is still charming she has taken up her own production ‘Nuvvu Nenu’. It is going in snail’s pace. Prior to this, she left a film of her own, ‘Three Roses’ unfinished. Her friends always advise her to marry a business man and settle down, instead of making these vain attempts to prove she has some thing to show. She put a deaf ear to the advice. She is looking for a true lover, who must be younger to him. Though she has shared many things with many men, she has not found a person who can lend his heart unconditionally.

Film Talk: Chiru votes for Trisha!
If one is wondering whatever happened to Trisha after 'Varsham' and 'Athadu', here is some news. She will soon enthral her fans in megastar Chiranjeevi’s 'Stalin'. So smitten was Chiru with her performance in 'Varsham' that he wondered how he had missed this beauty. And the next thing, she was in the 'Stalin' camp. Now the buzz is that she has been signed to act opposite Venkatesh too, besides Maheshbabu. With Genelia emerging a winner with 'Bommarillu', the two are likely to give tough competition to the current heartthrob, Ileana.
Realising Today: Ram Gopal Varma's Shiva 2006!
Ramgopal Varma is remaking his 1989 Telugu film "Shiva," which featured Nagarjuna and Amala. Now, 17 years later, Ramu is back with a 2006 version of "Shiva" in Hindi with Mohit Alawat and Nisha Kothari in the lead.
The film has music by Ilaiyaraja, who had composed the tunes for the original version too. If the original was set amid a campus backdrop, the new version will have Mohit as an honest cop, fighting the corrupt system and the Mumbai underworld.
The film, like its original, is also being dubbed into Telugu as "Shiva-2006".
Says Ramu: "The new `Shiva' will take a look at the law-enforcing system through the eyes of a man who has just finished training in a police academy and joined the Mumbai police."
Screen Buzz: Mallika Sherawat is no water baby!
Does anyone know that Mallika does not know how to swim and is scared of water? Well that’s how it turned out to be when she was required to swim for a sequence in Pyaar Ke Side Effects. The director Saket Choudhary was surprised when Mallika didn’t want to enter deep side of the pool. “How do I know that someone whom we have seen so many times in a swimsuit and on beach doesn’t know how to swim? It was very hilarious. She came to me quietly and said she wanted to discuss something quietly. When she told me, I couldn’t stop laughing and I got a whack on my head,” he says.
Nagarjuna: 'I was never a part of any political party'!
The grapevine has been abuzz that actor Nagarjuna may take to politics, but the actor clearly brushes aside the idea. “I was never a part of any political party, and I don’t want to step into politics,” he explains. “But of course I am a concerned citizen, and I think the ruling party needs support from the citizens. After all, we are a democracy, and we elect our ministers. Our vote is our weapon.”
Reel Talk: Stalin Censor On 16th and Prints on 19th!
The film 'Stalin' has completed its shooting and re-recording and it's going for censor on 16th of this month. DTS Mixing is the only activity that's left at present. After the DTS mixing and censor certification, the film is going to come out with 400 prints and is releasing in about 550 theatres all over.
The film is also releasing with 16 prints for the first time in US.
A perfect plan is chalked out to make the prints reach distributors on 19th of this month by using all the labs available in Hyderabad.
Sarada is playing the role of Chiranjeevi's mother, Khushboo is playing his sister and it's a known thing that Trisha is pairing up with him for the first time.
Prakash Raj is playing villain in the film while Mani Shrama scored his mark of tunes. Stalin heat has started in AP.
Yana Gupta: ‘People said I slept with five directors!’
Yana Gupta never dreamt that she would be a craze in a foreign land faraway from her native Czechoslovakia as she herself admits, “I never dreamt that I would be so big in another country.” But success has come to her nonetheless.
But life has not been easy for this easy-going babe who literally rode to fame riding on a bullock (remember the item number ‘Babujee…’?). There have been back-biting and crazy allegations all of which she has taken in her stride as part and parcel of the profession. “I know things were being said behind my back, but it never hurt me because I really would not care.”
Inquire further as to what she heard and she laughs again, “I’ve heard I’ve done things like breast implants.” So did she say no? Again there is a hearty laughter. “What do you think I’d say?” she inquires with a twinkle in her eye. “Nobody asked me directly. It was all said behind my back,” she goes on remembering the days. “I also heard that I slept with five different directors… They also alleged that to get an ad campaign, I slept with the main photographer and they don’t have a main photographer! Nasty things like these…”
But Yana kept her focus on her work and sped past her rivals not giving a damn about what was being said. This attitude towards work is what she prides herself in. “Being professional helps in this business,” she offers throwing light on how girls mess things up with their wrong attitude. “I have had people tell me how the girls throw attitude saying ‘I won’t wear this make-up or those clothes and I don’t want to look like this’. If you treat it as a profession, come on time, do what is expected of you, things are easy. I guess the attitude and approach counts.”
As for Bollywood, she says there are a lot of Hindi movies “I’ve never really been inspired by any of the projects which were offered to me. And I don’t want to compromise. I’d rather do some small art movie and be satisfied as an artist, rather than being on the big screen next to Abhishek Bachchan and think that I have made it.”
Impression: Ram Gopal Varma Is Losing Creativity!
People are holding an impression that Ram Gopal Varma is losing creativity. The reason is that he is unable to think beyond a line of imagination.
When he made 'Sarkar', many said that he remade the film 'Gaayam' in a trendy way. He also used the music track from the film 'Govinda Govinda' in it. Shiva, Gaayam, Govinda Govinda and Company speaks about his creativity and film analysts say that his creativity makes rounds only around them. It is not merely the creativity but also the drive to make the film comes to him only when he looks into such subjects.
Well, to avoid that impression from the public he declared that his new film is a sequel to Shiva. When it is sequel people expect some similarities and there wouldn't be any problem as well. Thus, Ram Gopal Varma is now free to make his own movies again in the name of sequels.
He should prove now that he is good at serving old wine in new bottle in interesting way.

Reel Talk: Nayantara Is Feeling Bad For Jo-Suriya!
The wedding of Suriya and Jothika was held in a very gala way in Chennai yesterday and the city's who's who has made their presence felt. Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha, Rajnikantha and Family, Kamal Hassan and every big celebrity was seen in the wedding. But many felt that the close friends of Suriya and Jo, like Nayan Tara, Vikram and Simbu were absent in the wedding. When asked for the reason, Nayantara said, "How can I go without being invited?".
Sources say that Nayan Tara is feeling bad for that.
Well, same is the case with Vikram and he did not get any invitation from Jo and Suriya. Suriya worked along with Vikram in 'Shiva Putrudu' and that gave Suriya immense popularity. Jo worked along with Nayan Tara in 'Chandramukhi' and they shared good friendship.
Simbu was also missing in the function as it's obvious that Nayan Tara missed.
However, film circles in Chennai assumed that Suriya and Jo did something inappropriate by not inviting the key people who are on the top in Tamil film industry and above all the good friends and contemporaries to them. Above all, Trisha was also found missing in the wedding. But she missed that only because of shooting the song 'Tauba Tauba..' for Stalin at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad.
Film Talk: Trisha Advises Fans from Beauty Front!
Trisha has been practicing yoga and meditation to keep body slim and mind cool. Well, anyone knows that a film heroine needs a beautiful body to meet her professional need and a strong mindset to face the gossips and troubles from industry and public.
To get these two, Trisha has been with yoga and meditation every time.
"I never miss my work outs, yoga and meditation even if I were sick. That's keeping me hale and healthy all the time. We need to keep our minds jovial to keep healthy. I say the same for everyone. The meditation helped me a lot when I faced a nasty trouble in recent times", says Trisha.
In fact, that nasty trouble is known to everyone.
Now Trisha is in a position to advice people as she is surrounded by fans and their associations.
So, Trisha started giving messages from beauty point of view.

Film Talk: Siddharth gains southern acceptance!
Siddharth, who won the best actor award for his Tollywood debut, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, at the recent Filmfare Awards (South) was heard saying, the award not only recognised his acting talent, but in a way announces his acceptance in the Southern film industry. Also, at another recent gathering, he remarked that actor JAYASUDHA’s praises for his latest film, Bommarillu was also like winning an award.
Screen Buzz: Telugu special classes for Surya!
Actor Surya’s wedding fiesta may be over, but that doesn’t give him a breather from his hectic schedule, which continues to be packed with appointments until next year. “It’s been really hectic the last few days. With the big day preparations there has been no time to breathe at all. And it doesn’t seem to end with the ceremony,” explains the actor. High on Surya’s to-do list, after the honeymoon getaway, are his Telugu language classes. “Next year I want to do a Telugu film where I would like to deliver the dialogue myself,” says Surya. New year resolutions in advance, huh!
Film News: Suriya Tied To Jo and Taking Her Europe
Karunanidhi, Prabhu, Satya Raj, Prakash Raj and many other Tamil film artistes have made their presence in the wedding ceremony of Suriya and Jothika that took place on decorated stage of the Maubari Hall at Park Sheraton Hotel, Adyar and blessed the newly married couple. Jo's sisters Nagma and Roshini also made their glamorous presence in the wedding ceremony.
Jothika is a well known face for Telugu audiences as she acted in many direct Telugu films as well. Suriya has turned famous star in AP with the dubbing versions of 'Yuva' and 'Ghajjini'.
Many gossips have made rounds that Suriya and Jothika are in love trap. Finally the gossips turned true today. The marriage ceremony took place in Hindu style in Chennai.
The couple is going to Europe for Honey Moon tomorrow. Sources said that Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi also extended their wishes to the couple.Snippet: After Bhoomika and Sneha it's Anushka
Generally film posters keep the heroines in news. But the posters cannot be on walls round the year. Bhoomika and Sneha have understood the value of posing for the campaigns of sari mandirs. They can be in the view of public all the while. From many months both Sneha and Bhoomika are smiling from mammoth hoardings of city roads.
Now Anushka also might have understood the formula and hitting the hoardings through RS Brothers.
The Ads of RS Brothers with Anushka as model are appearing in news papers everyday. Thus, she is going to be a big eye turner with sensuous saris down the line.City Buzz: Boutique by Chiranjeevi's daughter!
Tollywood hero Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Sushmita Prasad, who has made Chennai her home, is planning to launch her designer wear store D Purple in the city soon.
Sushmita not only has hands-on experience, having been the costumer for most of her dad’s films, but is also a qualified professional, having majored in fashion designing from the University of London.
Sushmita is having a preview show of her designer wear collection on Wednesday at Harrison’s Hotel, Chetpet, from 10 am onwards.
Trade Talk: New Releases Declared To Be Flops
Three dubbing films and three direct Telugu films were released last week. Telugu dubbing from Malayalam's 'Anant Abadram' as 'Shivapuram' is declared to be an adult film by audiences for the frightening elements grooved in it. 'Raagam', a dubbing from Hindi is getting critical applause but not commercial returns. Nyaantara's 'Chiipi' is also dull without collections.
On a whole, the new releases 'Maa Iddari Madhya', 'Chilipi', 'Sivapuram', 'Raagam', and 'Konte Kurraallu' are proved to be flops, while 'Adavi Biddalu' is being patronized by selective audiences in a few rural centers.
Lack in story line and weak narrations without in tune with conviction are the factors those marred these films. Dil Raju's 'Bommarillu' is doing well with good collections. On the other hand, although a pure Hindi film, 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' is sweeping box offices in Hyderabad.
With this all new releases toppled miserably.

Screen Buzz: There’s something about Asin
Asin is known in South circles for her beauty and acting skills. The actor, who has about a dozen South Indian films to her credit, made news recently when Aamir Khan reportedly called to compliment her for her performance in ‘Gajjini’.
Aamir was reportedly so impressed with the film and her act that he decided to play the lead in the Hindi remake of the film. In another film ‘High Jump’, the actor insisted on having Asin as the heroine, but Mani Ratnam, the producer of the film, apparently wanted Aishwarya.
However, the latest is that Ash has another connection to Asin. Ash’s ‘good friend’ Abhishek Bachchan is said to be taking keen interest in her. According to sources, Bachchan junior is so bowled over by her that he is recommending her name to Hindi filmmakers.
Apparently, Mani had initially considered casting Asin in ‘Guru’, but things didn’t work out and Ash stepped in. We are not sure how Abhishek’s growing fondness for Asin has affected his relationship with Ash (incidentally both Asin and Ash are Scorpios), but as of now, Abhishek’s bond with the girl seems a platonic one.
Film Talk: Karunya now plans global pop album
Indian Idol runner up and Hyerabad-based Karunya plans to compose an international music album. “It is my dream to bring out an international music album and also sing songs in all Indian languages,” he said in a chat with newsmen on Sunday.
Karunya, who was here to perform in Karimnagar music concert said, “Music is my passion. I started singing when I was three-years-old. I got encouragement from my grandfather Krishnamacharyulu, who himself is a music exponent. My ambition is to prove the calibre of Indian singers at the international level.”
Karunya, who is scheduled to perform in the US in October, said: “I am very fortunate to get the admiration of music lovers at a very young age.” Hard work as well as adaptability to the changing trends in the music holds the key to the success of singers, said Karunya.
Chiranjeevi: ‘My best is yet to come’
"My role in Stalin is the hallmark of all my acting pursuits thus far," remarks Megastar, Chiranjeevi. Wondering what makes him say that? “It’s not only director MURUGA DAS’ efforts that will make the film a success, but also the theme of the film. That’s what’s unique about the movie. I am sure it will inspire the viewers and also instil sensitive feeling about being concerned citizens,” he explains. The film is slated to release on September 20.
Star Talk: Sameera's Ganapati bappa experience!
If you've ever wondered which God is Sameera's favourite, here's the answer – it's Lord Ganesha. And her parents feel that it is only because of Ganapati bappa that she is what she is today. Reason?
The story goes that when Sameera was five years old, she and her family had gone to Shivaji Park to watch the Ganapati visarjan. Unfortunately, Sameera slipped out of papa's hands and was soon lost in the crowd. It was only after frantic searching that she was spotted and reunited with her parents. We guess every Ganesha festival has a different meaning to this family since then!
City Buzz: 'Lage Raho' Mania in Hyderabad
Lage Raho Munnabhai' is making waves in Hyderabad theaters. In the recent past the films Rang De Basanti, Fanaa, Krrish and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna have made good collections at Hyderabad box office. And same is the case with Sree Ramadasu, Devadasu, Pokiri and Bommarillu in Telugu.
But 'Lage Raho..' is beating all the records now. Many are saying that the film is worth watching even for 10 times.
"I don't believe in God but after watching 'Sree Ramadasu' I inclined at least a little bit towards God. But 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' made me an ardent devotee of Mahatma Gandhi", says Narendra Kumar, a film lover.
"The film is worth watch 10 times. I watched two times so far from the past two days and ready to watch again tomorrow.", says Anitha, a postgraduate student.
The film is running ahead to create history in collections.

Special Article: Bommarillu Breaks Pokiri Records In USA!
'Pokiri' has created waves with thumping collections all over the United States. Now, crossing that whopping figure, the film 'Bimmarillu' sounds its 'success trumpet' by making huge profits in the United States. It's really a grand record for Telugu Cinema in its history.
Telugu films are commanding good market overseas on par with that of Hindi films sometimes.
Chiranjeevi in a recent meet said that the overseas market of Telugu films is growing up these days and this would encourage the producers to make films with better quality orientation.
Well, that sounds to be true. But the films those have turned super hit in United States are not the ones made with great technical values.
Last year, the film 'Anand' ran well in American theater for the emotional content in the film. Indeed, 'Pokiri' bears good technical values while 'Sree Ramadasu' turned a hit with devotional elements in it.
The latest 'Bommarillu' is also ruling the roost in American theaters with its human element content in it.
Almost all the Telugu films released this year in USA were profitable ventures and narrow goers while 'Bangaram' and 'Pournami' were miserable losses.
'Sree Ramadasu', 'Pokiri', 'Godavari' and 'Bommarillu' are regarded to be the historical money minters in USA. The fresh films, 'Stalin' and 'Boss' are releasing in the United States of America with huge number of prints. Only in United States the film 'Stalin' is hitting with 16 prints and Boss' is hitting the screens there with 12 prints as per sources.
Let us wish that the saga of Telugu cinema goes in similar way. Exhibitors are showing immense interest on overseas market now.
Snippet: Sexy Miss Uttar Pradesh on Telugu Screen!
Another beauty queen is hitting the Telugu screen. She is Vidisha and won the crown of Miss Uttar Pradesh in the year 2002. She is fulfilling her desire to become heroine. She did modeling in Mumbai and worked for a few Ads there. She already acted in 3 Telugu films so far. She was introduced in Telugu screen with the film ' Ala' in the direction of Chimmani Manohar. Then she also acted in 'Maa Iddari Madhyalo'.
Vidisha, when asked to say about herself said, "My nick name is Gudiya and I'm known to many as Vidisha. I'm from Mumbai and I did B.Sc in Bio Technology. I love old songs and dance when I find leisure time. I learnt Kathak in my childhood. I wish to make a mark on Telugu screen as able actress".
Well, Vidisha is 5 feet 6 inches tall and also working for a couple of Hindi movies as well.
Gossip: Spicy Mallika Turns 30 But Not 25
Before turning a celebrity on land, Mallika Sherawat earlier worked in sky. No confusion! She worked as an 'Air Hostess' with her original name Reema Lamba. Later, she turned Mallika Shrawat after hitting tinsel town.
It's a routine practice of any heroine to hide a few years of age. Even Mallika Sherawat is in bandwagon.
She says that she is just 25 years old. But her records revealed that she is 30 now. A picture of her dated 1995 has come out. The picture says that even if Mallika was 18 when it was shot (you have to be at least that old to sign up as a stewardess), the actress is currently one year short of 30.
Thus, a few tabloid sources revealed her real age.
