It’s not easy to shoot with brilliant directors, unless you are totally cued in to them. And that is Aishwarya Rai’s secret of how she manages to work with a director like Mani Ratnam. Apparently, Ash claims she knows perfectly well when Ratnam is happy with a shot — he may just nod and smile after the take, but later he comes up to you and says, ‘Ooh!’, and that sound means something really good happened. Well, with her insight, maybe Ash should write a book on how to read Mani Sir. Every actor in Bollywood will buy it!
