Star Talk: Popular Lyricist from Highly Illiterate Family
Sharing his views Kandikonda said, "I hail from Warangal and my parents are illiterates. They hardly know my films. They don't know my songs as well. If somebody tells them that I wrote so and so song, they listen but cannot make ins and outs of it. My brother likes my songs and shares with me. I never got the chance to buy a tape recorder and listen to songs in my school days or college days. We were very poor to buy such things. But now, fortunately, I got the chance to listen and write almost at same time".
Saying something about his debut he said, "I used to read Telugu literature books fondly. I don't say that all lyricists should have literary background but if they have it helps. Chakry is my childhood friend and with his push I'm growing now".
Kandikonda says that he likes to write melodies than fast numbers.
