Andhra Talk: Husbands Encouraging Wives for Ramps and 'Hot' Parties

Indian men are now leaving social taboos and moving ahead with open mind. While there are many cases seeing light with regard to suspicion on wives and inferiority complex of men for getting beautiful spouses, a few new-generation men are encouraging their wives to walk on ramps and get the whistles of praise from public. Mrs India contests and Mrs Andhra competitions are seeing better light these days unlike before.

Mrs Andhra Shilpa Reddy is the best celebrity example who has been enjoying great support from her husband to go glamorous and work as any other commercial model. She posed even for Kingfisher calendar in the skimpiest form of swimsuit designed exclusively for her by a young male designer.

In the process, a contest by name 'Mrs Hyderabad' was held recently where many married women took part in audition. Almost all of them said that their husbands encouraged them to take part in the contest.

"After giving birth to a kid I put on lot of weight and reduced later with the help of slimming centers. But still, I wanted to look slimmer and suave. Then my husband asked me to take part in Mrs Hyderabad contest. I'm now working out, learning Cat Walk and also other social skills. I have a goal now and at the same time I can accomplish what I want to be with regard to my body", said a Mrs in the audition of the contest.

Earlier to this, a ramp show was conducted in a college where a gorgeous 'Mrs' walked on ramp. The guys who were watching the show shouted loudly, made whistles and some even passed on a few vulgar comments. Then her husband was called on the dais after the show. He said, "Thanks a lot for the guys who gave response to the beauty of my wife. All your whistles, comments or compliments are garlands for her". This is the growing outlook of supporting husbands these days.

Many married women are getting along with their male colleagues in social parties till midnight and their relationships with husbands are still happier.

It's the understanding between the husband and wife that breaks even the social taboos.

"Married women need to sit at home. Even though they work, they shouldn't look more glamorous. They shouldn't receive any compliments or comments from other men with regard to their beauty and sex appeal. Well, all these are social taboos prevailing here. While caste, creed, religion are not the criteria for marriage and happy living, why to get carried away by social taboos?" questions a husband in the Mrs Hyderabad contest. On the other hand, psychologists and police officials say that these changes may sound good between the couples but at times they may also have to face problems.

"Every man is not broad minded like these magnanimous husbands. Married women who come with a motive to show off their beauty are prone to perils. While some men consider that as a profession and respect, others may get seduced and go perverted. Women may face problems from such men. Our society is still traditional and the generation-change is yet to come. So, I think it is better to go along with the society's principles to have peaceful lives", says a Police Cop talking about Mrs. Hyderabad contest.

To sign off on lighter note, good or bad, new-generation husbands are certainly paving path for new society.
