Impression: 42 scripts for 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'

Reports say that about 42 scripts were made before the making of 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and best of all was picked out at last. Even a few scenes and dialogues those sound the best are picked from all the other 42 scripts very relevantly. That was the homework done to make that film. The result is known for all and it is rocking all the centers equally.

Similarly Ashuthosh Gowarikar worked for about 8 years to bring out the script of 'Lagaan'.

How many Tollywood directors and producers are doing such a long homework for a film? No director, except Sekhar Kammula and Neelakanta, would work according to the final script. Many directors tend to make changes while making the film, just by bending heads to the unit members and producers. Thus the quality would suffer and that's clearly evident at the box office.

As there is no homework at us, films are failing miserably. As they are failing distributors are losing confidence on our films. Hence they are tending to dubbing flicks for safe bets.

Unless our producers improve quality by doing more homework, the plight of Tollywood would be same. It's not a wise man's deed to ask fro a ban on dubbing films.
