Several Bollywood and southern stars will glitter at the three-day Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Telugu film industry in Hyderabad. Tollywoood has given huge remunerations for heroines this year. But there were new upshots and old ones in the list of highly paid heroines.

Ileana is the new upshot who worked in 'Devadasu' for Rs. 10 lakhs. But after the film turned hit and 'Pokiri' became a block buster hit, her remuneration has reached Rs. 75 Lakhs.

Trisha's rate has come down a little and stood at Rs. 60 lakhs now. Nayantara stood third by claiming Rs. 45 lakhs per film. Shreya is in next line by bagging Rs. 35 lakhs. 'Annavaram' is ready for censor certification

The successful Tamil film 'Tirupachi' is being remade in Telugu as 'Annavaram' under the direction of Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao, presented by RB Choudary and jointly produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain on the banner of 'Megaa Super Good Films' which had produced several successful family subjects, with Pawan Kalyan, Asin and Sandhya in the lead.

It is learnt that the film excellently brought out and is reflecting the strong relationship between a brother and a sister. The last song for the film was canned on Pawan Kalyan and Asin recently.

The film had completed shooting and other post-production formalities and is getting ready for censor certification. The producers planned to release the film on December 29.

Ramana Gogula gave melodious tunes for the flick and they have already become popular with the launch of audio recently.

When Pawan Kalyan's 'Bangaram' was about to release, the film 'Satyagrahi' was announced stating that it would be made in the same combination of AM Rathnam. Even the website was started to update information on the film. But that wasn't started till now. It was also gossiped that the film was announced only to boost up the sales of 'Bangaram'.

'Nandeeswarudu' is the script readied by Chinni Krishna long back to make it on the banner of Gopi Krishna Movies of Krishnam Raju. Prabhas was considered to be the hero of the film. There is no news about the film thereafter.

'Narthanasala', the dream project of Balakrishna was shelved for various reasons including Soundarya's sudden demise. Gossips made rounds that Balakrishna would consider the film by placing Sneha in Droupadi's role. But there is no information about this from official front.

Sukumar was a tutor in Kakinada Aditya College till a few years back. He used to teach Mathematics in that college. Hence, even the Film Circles say that he makes films in the form of Mathematical Theorems those go in the lines of introduction, problem, solution and proof.

Well, he used to watch films regularly without fail and Rangeela was one of his favorite films in those days. He made a script 'Chinuku' which he considers to be a great theme. His longstanding ambition is to make a film out of that script.

After media barons Ramoji Rao and Sanghi and industrialist GVK, it was the turn of software giant Satyam Group to receive the notice from the government under the Land Ceiling Act on Wednesday.

Satyam was asked to furnish details of the extent of the lands held by it at Dundigal on the city outskirts within a fortnight. The government is learnt to be targetting only such companies which have huge land holdings.

Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao said several individuals and companies were holding lands above the stipulated ceiling limit and they should follow the example set by Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who had surrendered 618 acres of land in Vempally in Kadapa district.

"Out of the one and half crore and odd acres of land distributed in the country to the poor since independence, Andhra Pradesh accounts for 55 lakh acres, the highest in the country. We feel that half of the 55 lakh acres of land which was distributed to the poor is now in the hands of the rich and powerful," he said.

When Shankar recently gave an interview to the local film magazines, he said that ‘Sivaji’ is completing its shoot and that climax shot is about the 'Interlinking of Rivers'. To everyone's surprise the story narrated by Sensational Director Teja to Super Star Rajinikanth earlier was the story about “Interlinking of Rivers". Teja also titled his script as 'Rythu'. But the subject was not okayed then. The new discovery is that the same line is being used in Shivaji.

When Director Teja contacted, he said "I will be talking to Rajinikanth sir as soon as possible."

Now we have to wait and see what will happen.

“I’M appalled by the rumours that have been weaved about NTR Jr and I. He's a professional co-star and it is not right to malign his reputation this way. Victimising us with these rumours is unfair,” lashes out actress Sameera Reddy, about her alleged liaison with NTR Jr, one of Tollywood's leading actors.

A staunch sentimental attachment for the culture here propelled the Bollywood actress to make a debut in Telugu films. “To be honest, I have much more respect for Tollywood, than any other film industry. Even my father wanted me to act in Telugu films. It's our family attachment to the south that draws me here,” she explains. So she headed southwards. Even acclaimed actors such as Chiranjeevi have applauded her. “I remember I was at an industry gathering, where he stated that I dance well, and he even compared me to Radha and Radhika. But what irks her the most are the mounting rumours. “I've been linked to many actors. I was supposedly seeing Viveik Oberoi at one point too. • Losses should be shared by highly paid stars and for this purpose the conditions are going to be produced

• Salaries can be given in installments on schedule basis

"Married women need to sit at home. Even though they work, they shouldn't look more glamorous. They shouldn't receive any compliments or comments from other men with regard to their beauty and sex appeal. Well, all these are social taboos prevailing here. While caste, creed, religion are not the criteria for marriage and happy living, why to get carried away by social taboos?" questions a husband in the Mrs Hyderabad contest. On the other hand, psychologists and police officials say that these changes may sound good between the couples but at times they may also have to face problems.

"Every man is not broad minded like these magnanimous husbands. Married women who come with a motive to show off their beauty are prone to perils. While some men consider that as a profession and respect, others may get seduced and go perverted. Women may face problems from such men. Our society is still traditional and the generation-change is yet to come. So, I think it is better to go along with the society's principles to have peaceful lives", says a Police Cop talking about Mrs. Hyderabad contest.
